READING, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy (2-6) took a trip to Reading today for a tri-match against Alvernia (4-6) and Cedar Crest (6-4).
The team faced Cedar Crest first, where the Falcons won 3-1. Aybria Purnell led the game for the Griffins in kills (12), while Ashley Morris totaled the most digs (21). Bridget McTamney led the game in assists with 28.
In the second match, the Griffins put up a good fight against Alvernia but ultimately fell in 5 sets, 3-2. Against the Wolves, Purnell had 18 kills while Morris led the game with 26 digs. McTamney led the game again with 28 assists.
The Griffs will return to play on Tuesday against Bryn Athyn at home.Â
