Keith Mondillo officially announced
Gregory Gornick as Director of Athletic Communication. "I am excited to welcome Greg Gornick to Gwynedd Mercy University! Greg's vision for growing the office of Athletic Communication will highlight our student-athletes and the University regionally and nationally!" Gornick previously filled a similar role at National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) DII institution, Chestnut Hill College (2006-2021). There, Gornick was the primary contact for the Griffins' 18 intercollegiate athletic programs and a valued member of the department administration.

Gornick was named athletic communications and community outreach coordinator at Chestnut Hill College in 2006; a title he carried until 2018, when the college received the NCAA Division II Ethnic Minorities and Women's Internship Grant. As the Director of Athletic Communications, Gornick managed the statistical record keeping, official scoring, and student-athlete recognition, in addition to producing departmental publications and content for the both the Athletics web site and various social media platforms. As a member of the department's administration, he also played a major role in many of Chestnut Hill College's athletic traditions, including the Hall of Fame, the Athletic Awards Reception, the Sprint Football Fan Fest, Senior Days, and the annual Golf Outing at Plymouth Whitemarsh Country Club. Gornick also served as a member of the College's Communications Committee, which was established in 2019.
Gornick began his sports information career as an intern at The State University of New York (SUNY) at New Paltz (2004-2005) and was promoted to the institution's interim Co-Sports Information Director the following year (2005-2006). Additionally, Gornick served as a member of the Philadelphia Phillies' Premium Services Day-of-Game Staff from 2008 to 2013.
A 2004 graduate of Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, Gornick earned a bachelor's degree in physical education with a concentration in sport management. While attending Canisius College, Gornick fulfilled internships with both the Buffalo Destroyers of the Arena Football League (AFL, 2003) and the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League (NHL, 2004) in the fields of marketing and sponsorship, and ticket sales, respectively. Furthering his education, he earned his master's degree in human services from Chestnut Hill College in 2015.
Gornick is an Eagle Scout and a member of the Canisius College Men's Rugby Football Club, which won New York State Rugby Conference (NYRC) Championships in the Fall 2001 and Spring 2002 for the Collegiate Men's Premier Division I. He currently resides in Warminster, Pennsylvania, with his wife Meredith and their dogs, Luna and Penelope.
