Ashley Morris (Quakertown, Pa.), with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-11, 25-23) Atlantic East Conference (AEC) triumph over Immaculata University (5-12, 0-5). The Griffins dominated the first two sets, putting the Mighty Macs behind the eight ball with wins of 25-12 and 25-11 before edging out the visitors 25-23 in the third set. Gwynedd Mercy University hit a season's best .214 (33K-11E-103TA), including a .351 (14K-1E-37TA) second set that all but secured the league win.
Sophomore middle hitter
Ashley Brown (Lansdale, Pa.) recorded her sixth double-digit kill performance and finished with 16.5 points as she added a block assist to her team-high 16 kills. McTamney totaled a pair of kills, 22 assists, an ace, and eight digs. Her fellow seniors both recorded double digit digs; Yancer totaled a team-high 11 digs, while Morris recorded 10 digs in excess of two assists. Freshman right side
Dejah Howe (Bensalem, Pa.) was also a factor with a kills, four aces, and five digs.
Gwynedd Mercy University concludes their AEC schedule tomorrow, Wednesday, October 27, when they visit Centenary University for a 7:00 p.m. opening serve.
