PHILADELPHIA, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy took part in the Philadelphia Metropolitan Invitational on Saturday hosted by Jefferson University at the Belmont Plateau where the race featured 13 teams and 106 racers. The Griffins were one of two Division III institutions at the event. The race totaled 106 runners from 13 teams.

Top honors went to Julianna Green was 50th overall (23:38.9). Emily Stewart was 52nd (23:52.3), Keely Greene was 68th (25:07.4), Alicia Bennett 72nd (25:43.7), and Kristen Dougher 83rd (26:59.1) completed the Griffin entrants.

Alyssa Sanders of Rowan (19:57.3) was the top finisher but the Profs finished second to West Chester, who had four runners finish in the top 10.

The squad gets back at in two weeks when they head to the Stockton University Invitational on Saturday, September 21st.
