CENTER VALLEY, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy suffered a 3-0 defeat at DeSales on a muggy Wednesday afternoon.

The Bulldogs scored early, making it 1-0 in the fifth minute, on a goal from Anthony Contreras.

Griffin goalie Kace Peters made eight saves, including five in the second half. The eight stops were second-most in a game for Peters.

DeSales struck again in the 19th minute on a tally from Sean Murray. They would add the third score in the 66th minute (Dimeji Oyinkolade).

GMercyU totaled six shots while the Bulldogs kept Peters busy with 24.

The team resumes action on Saturday when they travel to Widener.
