HAVERFORD, PA. -- Haverford handed Gwynedd Mercy a 16-10 decision Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action.
Kohler Setley tied a career high with four goals on the day while teammate
Jacob Dzierzgowski totaled six points on three goals and three assists. The Griffins fought their way to make it a one-goal game in the third quarter, but saw the Fords hold the offense without a score until late in the fourth.

Nick Heiler won 15-of-27 on faceoffs and led the team with eight groundballs. Setley also contributed a personal best three caused turnovers.

Aubron Swartley recorded nine saves as the freshman saw a season-high 46 shots.
Setley gave the Griffins a 1-0 lead early in the first before Haverford scored the next four including a pair of man-up tallies. The teams swapped goals for the remainder of the quarter for a 6-3 score after one. It was the same in the second, as each team found the back of the net twice to make it a 8-5 score at the half.
After Haverford scored in the opening of the third, Gwynedd put together goals from Setley, Simpson, and Dzierzgowski in a three-minute span to pull the team to 9-8 with 11:48 in the stanza. It would be the only score until just over two minutes in the fourth as the Fords netted five-straight in that span.
Sean Mowatt-Larssen led the Fords with five goals. Ben Frost added three scores and four assists. Goalie Dylan Slack made five of his 12 saves in the fourth quarter.
The teams is off until next Saturday when they open Atlantic East play at home in a date with Cabrini.
