MIAMI SHORES, FL. -- The Gwynedd Mercy Men's Basketball Team dropped a 66-50 decision to Wesleyan at the HoopMia D3 Holiday Shootout on Wednesday in their final game before the holiday break.

The Griffins built a 12-5 lead to start the game, but would go without a field goal over eight minutes in the stanza that saw the Cardinals hold a 25-17 lead at halftime.

Rich Dunham was the game's top scorer for the second contest in a row as the senior netted 15 points and added a team-high four rebounds and three three-pointers. Manny Clark was the other Griffin in double figures, totaling 11 off the bench.

For Wesleyan, out of the NESCAC, Antone Walker went for 12 points with teammates Sam Peek and Jordan James each having 11. Walker drained half of the team's eight three-pointers to help the Cardinals open up the second half on a 6-0 spurt to take a double-digit lead they would not surrender the rest of the way.

The team is off until January 3rd when they play at Penn State-Abington.
