BRYN ATHYN, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy picked up their third win in a row with a 3-1 victory (25-17, 19-25, 25-10, 25-22) at Bryn Athyn Tuesday night.
After the teams split the first two sets, the Griffins cruised in the third leading from start to finish. However, the fourth set saw no team lead by more than five and featured six ties.
As a team, GMercyU reached double digits in kills in all four sets and had double-figure aces for the sixth consecutive match.
Liz Schule tied a season-high with 12 kills to lead all attackers.
Cait Saalfrank served up five aces.
Four players had double-digit digs, led by Saalfrank with 24.
Bridget McTamney (21),
Ashley Morris (19), and
Kerry McGlinn (13) helped to combine for 92 on the night. For Morris, the 19 digs were a career high.
Madelyn Mosser put up 10 kills, six digs, and four blocks (one solo).
Briana Cliney totaled 11 kills and 14 digs for the Lions for a double double. McTanmey also registered a double double, her tenth, this season (21 digs/35 assists).
The team kicks off Atlantic East play tomorrow night at The Griffin Complex when they welcome Marymount starting at 6 p.m.
