Gwynedd Mercy 15, Hilbert 0 (Box Score)

The Griffins opened up the season with a 15-0 victory over Hilbert College. Alyssa Morales threw a complete game shutout with four strikeouts. Amanda Clark went 4-for-4 with three RBI's. Ciara Diehl added three hits while Becki Christoffers added a pair of hits with three runs knocked in and three runs scored.

On Monday, the Griffins split a pair of games with Penn State Abington and Harrisburg. Melissa Hess earned the victory against Abington, tossing a gem while striking out three over six innings. Lauren Waller and Jessica Behr added three hits with Waller driving in three runs.

Against Harrisburg, Morales struck-out four while throwing a complete game.

Melissa Hess picked up her second win of the trip, as she fanned eight against Dean. Clark recorded three hits while driving in pair of runs.

Against Mary Washington, a three-run fifth inning broke open a 2-2 game. A Waller single would score Emily Shaheen followed by a Becki Christoffers two-run double to score Waller and Clark. Morales earned the victory going the distance striking out five.

Gwynedd Mercy 8, Chatham 3 (Box Score)

The Griffins rallied again on Thursday with a four-run fourth against Chatham. Behr, Waller and Tori Sherwood all drove in runs in that fourth inning. Behr finished the day 3-for-3 with three RBI's. Hess would pick up her third win, striking out six batters.

To close out the trip on Friday, GMercyU posted a 2-0 shutout victory over Wilkes. Morales earned the win working six innings, striking out four while Hess earned her first save. Clark went 3-for-3 with a go ahead RBI double in the third. Hess earned the win in the nightcap striking out six over six innings. Clark would stay hot going 3-for-3 with three RBI's.

The Griffins are scheduled to return back to action on Thursday and Friday next week, but stay tuned to for updates as the weather is scheduled to stay in a winter mood.
