READING, PA. -- Albright defeated Gwynedd Mercy 3-0 (25-17, 25-10, 25-18) Monday evening.

The Griffins (3-10) totaled 22 kills but their 27 errors were the most in a three-set match this season. Rainah Dunham recorded nine of those 22 kiils, for her second-straight match with nine enders. Liz Schule kicked in five kills and a team-high three aces.

Albright ended the first set on an 11-1 run to erase a Gwynedd lead. Those bad fortunes continued into the second set, as GMercyU totaled just four kills and committed 11 errors as the Lions led from start to finish.

Claudia Guise totaled 21 assists, five digs, four kills, and three aces for Albright (2-7).

In the third and deciding set, Gwynedd muscled out to a 9-7 lead thanks to five-straight points, but the Lions later put together a 7-1 spurt to take the lead for good.

Gwynedd Mercy resumes action on Thursday when they travel to Centenary for a Colonial States Athletic Conference match starting at 7 p.m.
