TOWSON, MD. -- Gwynedd Mercy fell in straight sets at Goucher Wednesday night by the score of 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-12).

The Griffins (2-7) totaled just 16 kills on the evening, as the team hit .032 (16-14-62). Rainah Dunham led GM with six with Abreeanna Bisenius adding four. Cait Saalfrank recorded her fifth match in a row with double-digit digs (10).

The first set featured a close contest opened up by the Gophers midway through to stay ahead and win 25-17. In the second, a similar run turned a one-point match into a deeper hole for which the Griffins to climb out of. Goucher (1-7) jumped out to an 9-2 lead in the third and did not look back en route to the three-set sweep.

Greta Coss led all attackers with 12 kills. Olivia Rhodes added 26 assists, five aces, four kills, four digs and two solo blocks.

Gwynedd will play for the third-straight night tomorrow with a contest at Bryn Mawr starting at 7 p.m.
