ROSEMONT, PA. – Gwynedd Mercy evened their conference record by defeating Rosemont, 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-21), Tuesday night.
Setter
Kerry McGlinn totaled 26 of the team's 29 assists while
Abreeanna Bisenius notched a match-high 12 kills.
Liz Schule added seven and a team-best three aces.
Cassie McCarney and
Rainah Dunham kicked in five kills apiece. The team's 32 kills were the third most in a game this season.
In the first set, Gwynedd never trailed, as a 7-0 run to open things got the team off to a great start. The second saw the Ravens use a couple of scoring runs to take a pair of one-point leads, but the Griffins fought off any other potential comebacks to go up 2-0.
The third and final set featured 10 ties and five lead changes, with GMercyU closing it out on a 6-0 run to win, 25-21.
The Griffins (9-12, 3-3 CSAC) return to action tomorrow night at home when King's visits The Griffin Complex in a 6 p.m. start.
