GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Cabrini snapped Gwynedd Mercy's four-game winning streak in a 19-3 defeat Wednesday night in a Colonial States Athletic Conference contest.
Tommy Belmont scored a goal and had an assist as the as the GMercyU offense was held scoreless in the first half.
Blase Cesarone and
Jordan Dzierzgowski also had goals for the Griffins (5-4, 2-1 CSAC), who also suffered their first CSAC loss. Goalie
Sean Myers recorded 11 saves as he saw action into the fourth quarter.
Ethan Heisman netted five goals and Matt LoParo added two scores and three assists for Cabrini (8-3, 3-0 CSAC). Evan Downey registered two goals and two assists.
Cabrini outshot the Griffins, 20-4, in the first quarter en route to a 6-0 lead after one. The Cavaliers would take a 9-0 lead at the half.
Gwynedd Mercy will get right back at it on Saturday when they host Rosemont here starting at noon.
