GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Ten different Griffins found the back of the net as Gwynedd Mercy busted out for an 18-4 win over Wilkes Tuesday evening.
Tony McCraw led the offensive charge, registering four goals and two assists.
Ryan Simpson added three tallies while
Jacob Snavely, Alfonzo Manzo, and
Dominic Moscariello added two each.
Leading 4-1 after the first, Gwynedd would keep their foot on the pedal to up their lead to 9-2 at the half. Four more scores came in the third to put GM up 13-2 after three.
Jeremy Kachel led the Colonels (0-6) with two goals and an assist. Matthew Bush and Max Brown also scored for Wilkes.
Goalie
Sean Myers played into the fourth quarter and would finish with nine saves. Brian Manning of Wilkes was kept busy on the night, making 21 stops also before leaving the game in the fourth.
Defensively,
Marc Bushong had 11 groundballs, tying a career high, and four caused turnovers.
Nick Harkins and
Jordan Dzierzgowski each picked up five. Dzierzgowski also scored a goal for the Griffins (3-3).
Nick Guglielmi,
Dillon Cave,
Daniel Decker, and
Joseph Pandolfi also registered goals for Gwynedd.
The Griffins are back at it on next Wednesday, March 30th when they open up CSASC play at Immaculata starting at 7 p.m.
