CLARKS SUMMIT, PA. -- Clarks Summit handed Gwynedd Mercy a 3-0 Colonial States Athletic Conference defeat Saturday. Set scores were 25-18, 25-17, 25-13.

The loss is their third in a row and fifth in its last six matches which evens their CSAC record at 3-3 and drops their overall mark to 8-11. Laura Kirk led the Griffins with 13 digs while Brittany Albert contributed 10. Samantha Schearer led the Griffin offense with six kills and two service aces.  Kerry McGlinn dished out 17 assists.

The team totaled 17 kills, their fourth lowest on the season while hitting (-.051). The Defenders (6-13, 4-2 CSAC) were at a 32-12-79 (.253) hitting clip.

Callie Kitowski led all attackers with 14 kills.Teammate Kara Brown added six along with two solo blocks.

GMercyU returns back to action Wednesday when they travel to Centenary for a CSAC matchup at 7 p.m.
