GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Senior night festivities did not go as planned as Elizabethtown took down Gwynedd Mercy, 18-7, Wednesday night in the regular season finale. Prior to the game, the team and coaching staff took time to honor their four graduating upperclassmen.

Kelsey Yori (Folsom, Pa./Ridley), Sarah Lombardi (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville), Sara Nance (Lansdowne, Pa./Archbishop Prendergast) and Toshoy Esson (Norristown, Pa./East Norriton) along with their parents were celebrated prior to the game in a special ceremony.

The Griffins, who trailed 8-4 at the half, saw the Blue Jays score four goals to open the second half in the first 5:48 of the stanza. After a goal from freshman Lauren Mitros (Glenside, Pa./Bishop McDevitt), E-Town would net the next five to increase the lead to double figures midway in the stanza.

Mitros would lead Gwynedd (8-9) with three goals. Yori and junior Danae Perrymond (Pottstown, Pa./Pottstown) each added two. Perrymond would also add four caused turnovers and three draws.

Addie Stang netted a game-high six tallies while Dana Robidoux added five goals and assisted on two others for the Blue Jays (5-9).

Gwynedd now turns its sights on the postseason, as the Griffins enter the 2015 CSAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament as the #5 seed and will face #4 Marywood in Scranton in first-round matchup this Saturday starting at 1 p.m.
