GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. – The Gwynedd Mercy Men's Lacrosse Team honored its six seniors prior to its 22-5 CSAC win over Keystone Saturday afternoon.

11 different Griffins scored as the team registered a season-high in goals and points. Freshman Dominic Moscariello (Lansdale, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) led the way with five goals and junior Tony McCraw (Lawnton, Pa./Central Dauphin East) added four.

The Griffins (10-4, 4-2 CSAC) netted 12 goals in the first quarter, a program record, en route to an 18-2 lead at the half.

Caleb Strope netted three goals for the Giants (2-8, 1-5 CSAC) while Michael Bradley added two goals and an assist.

Juniors Blase Cesarone (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) and Nick Guglielmi (Holland, Pa./Council Rock South) each had two goals and two assists. Senior Nico Belardo (Columbus, N.J./Northern Burlington) added two scored and two helpers.

Some school records were broken or tied on the day as McCraw, with his four goals, became the single-season goals scorer with 40 tallies. Belardo moved into a tie for second on the all-time points record, as he now sits with 141, two behind the record holder, Roy Bakeoven '13, with 143.

Sophomore goalie Sean Myers (Clark, N.J./Arthur L. Johnson) played three of the four quarters, making nine saves. Keystone goalie Matthew Grobelny was active, making 22 stops.

Before the game, the team honored its seniors: Belardo, Peter Pappas (Newtown Square, Pa./Great Valley), Reese Lachner (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central), Matt Richter (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown), John Black (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield), and Dillon Cave (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) and their families for their contributions over the last four seasons.

Gwynedd Mercy, who has clinched the #3 playoff seed, will close out the regular season on Wednesday when they host Neumann in a 4 p.m. start.
