BOX SCORE

GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy closed out the regular season on Wednesday with a 25-5 win over Neumann, as several individual and team records were broken.

Nico Belardo (Columbus, N.J./Northern Burlington) became the program's all-time points leader as the senior registered two goals and an assist on the day. Needing three points to pass Roy Bakeoven '13, Belardo would set up junior Tony McCraw (Lawnton, Pa./Central Dauphin East) on a goal at the 4:57 mark of the first quarter for his 144th point.

The team would set a program record by notching its 11th win on the season, most in school history. The previous mark was 10 wins set in 2010 and 2012. Additionally, the 25 goals scored today were tied for second most in a game.

McCraw, who now owns the single-season mark for goals and points accomplished this season, finished with five goals on the day. Nick Guglielmi (Holland, Pa./Council Rock South), Alfonso Manzo (Manahawkin, N.J./Southern), and Dominic Moscariello (Lansdale, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) each added three scores apiece.

The Griffins (11-5, 5-2 CSAC) led 9-0 after the first quarter and 18-1 at the half. In all, a total of 12 different players scored on the day.

Jordan Klunk scored twice for the Knights (0-14, 0-7 CSAC).

Gwynedd Mercy now turns its attention to the postseason, where they enter as the #3 seed and will play at #2 seeded Marywood on Saturday in a semifinal game of the 2015 CSAC Men's Lacrosse Tournament in a 4 p.m. start. The Pacers edged the Griffins, 9-8, in overtime here in Gwynedd Valley back on April 11th.
