Kelsey Yori (Folsom, Pa./Ridley) notched her 100th career goal to highlight Gwynedd Mercy's 12-5 win over Bryn Athyn on Monday.
Yori finished with five goals and an assist for a game-high six points. Senior
Sarah Lombardi (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville) added two goals while junior
Brianna Greer (Philadelphia, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) and sophomore
Haley Williams (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower) each chipped in a score and an assist.
The Griffins (2-0) scored the game's first five goals, thanks to Yori who scored the first four. The milestone tally came at the 14:12 mark as she picked up a pass and slid around a defender in front of the cage and found the back of the net.
Gage Blair put the Lions (0-1) on the board with 1:23 to go in the half, but the Griffins answered with a tally from sophomore
Aubrey Cook (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower) seconds later to put GMercyU up 6-1 at the break.
Gwynedd outshot Bryn Athyn, 24-14, and held a 22-17 groundball edge.

Bria Gillard (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower) would make six saves. Anja Weisser recorded 12 stops for the Lions.

In 30 career games, Yori now stands at 103 goals and 24 assists for 127 points. She did not play in her sophomore season (2012) due to injury.
Gwynedd Mercy returns to action on Wednesday night when they head up to Wilkes-Barre, Pa. to square off with King's in a 7 p.m. start.
