BOX SCOREGWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Neumann pinned a 16-2 defeat on Gwynedd Mercy as the Griffins lost their second-straight Colonial States Athletic Conference game Saturday afternoon.
The Griffins (3-5, 0-3 CSAC) played a majority of the second half down a man, turning a close 5-1 deficit at the break into a big deficit.

Danae Perrymond (Pottstown, Pa./Pottstown) and freshman
Arianna Hensinger (Mt. Laurel, N.J./Camden Catholic) scored for Gwynedd, who failed to reach double-digit goals for the fifth game in a row.
Jordan Hopkins led the Knights (4-4, 3-1 CSAC) with five goals and seven draws, both game highs. Emily Sanders and Shae Risley added three each and Diana Caicedo chipped in a pair as Neumann opened the second stanza on a quick five-goal burst.

Bria Gillard (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower) was busy, making 10 saves on 37 shots. Junior
Brianna Greer (Philadelphia, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) contributed five draws while
Christy Knipe (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) and freshman
Lauren Mitros (Glenside, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) both had three caused turnovers each.
Gabby Curry recorded nine saves for the Knights, who collected 24 groundballs and caused 13 turnovers.
Gwynedd Mercy is right back at it on Monday in a rescheduled game at Centenary starting at 4 p.m.
