GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. – Third-seeded Gwynedd Mercy (16-9) will host sixth-seeded Rosemont (13-12) Monday night to tip-off the first round of the 2015 Colonial States Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Tournament right here at the Griffin Complex.

The Griffins will be entering the conference playoffs for the 19th-straight year with six championships (2000, 2001, 2003, 2006, 2007 and 2012) under the belt of head coach Keith Mondillo.  The Ravens, who enter the playoffs for the third year in a row and sixth appearance overall, will be under the guidance of first-year head coach Rayne Reber. Gwynedd bested Rosemont, 88-66, in their only matchup this year back on January 24th.

GM wrapped up the third seed on Friday night, defeating Marywood, 79-63, while Rosemont scored a 67-66 victory over Neumann last Wednesday to edge out the Knights and grab the final playoff spot.

Gwynedd is led by senior forward and second team All-CSAC selection Natasha Matthews (Norristown, Pa. / Norristown).  Matthews, who reached the 1,000 point plateau this season, leads in the Griffins in scoring averaging 12.1 ppg.  Fellow senior and CSAC honorable mention selection Kelsey Yori (Folsom, Pa. / Ridley) leads GM in assists (67) and three pointers made (39) while averaging 10.2 ppg.  Junior Olivia Bradford (Lansdale, Pa. / Christopher Dock) is having a breakout season, earning an honorable mention selection as well for the 2014-15 season averaging 11.2 ppg while leading the Griffins in field goal percentage (47.7%). Also look for freshman Dee Terry (Pottstown, Pa. / Boyertown), the 2014-15 CSAC Rookie of the Year, to provide a big spark off the bench.

The Ravens will rely on senior Liz Coyne who averages 19.8 ppg and 11.4 rpg. Coyne was also recognized as a first-team All-CSAC selection for the third year in a row.

#4 seed Marywood will host #5 Keystone on Monday night as well with Monday's winners advancing to Wednesday night's semifinal round at #1 seed Cabrini and #2 seed Immaculata respectively. The semifinal winners will advance to the championship game Saturday night hosted by the highest remaining seed.
