RADNOR, PA. -- Cabrini dealt Gwynedd Mercy a 66-56 CSAC defeat Monday night. Sophomore Charlotte Kucowski (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) netted 13 points and pulled down a career-high 15 rebounds for the Griffins.

Senior Natasha Matthews (Norristown, Pa./Norristown) added 15 while Kelsey Yori (Folsom, Pa./Ridley) chipped in 14.

The Griffins (14-9, 10-4 CSAC) trailed by only five at the half, but saw Cabrini's Kristina Startare score 19 of her game-high 23 points in the second as the Cavaliers (22-3, 16-0 CSAC) opened up a double-digit lead.

Matthew's bucket at the midpoint of the stanza pulled GM within 52-43 but Cabrini would score the next seven points to go up 16 points. Gwynedd would get within 11 with just over three minutes remaining, but Startare helped put the final dagger with a three-pointer for a 64-50 lead.

For the game, GM was 39% (24-of-61) from the field but committed 21 turnovers. The Cavs were 36% (24-of-66). Both teams pulled down 43 rebounds each.

Megan Decker added 11 points and nine caroms while Amber Keys chipped in eight points, seven boards, and five blocks.

Gwynedd Mercy hosts Cairn on Wednesday in an important conference matchup.
