BOX SCOREIMMACULATA, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy was handed a 75-43 setback at Immaculata in a Colonial States Athletic Conference game Wednesday evening ending the Griffins' four-game winning streak.

Natasha Matthews (Norristown, Pa./Norristown) was the only Griffin in double figures, netting 11 points. Sophomore
Charlotte Kucowski (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Huberts) and freshman
Dee Terry (Pottstown, Pa./Boyertown) each added seven. Kucowski pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds.
Down 10 at the half, Gwynedd saw the Mighty Macs open the second with a 20-5 run to extend their lead.
Brittany Merkle had 19 points and 11 rebounds, both game highs for IU. Adriana Sciascia added 16 and Sara Smith 11 as the Mighty Macs (14-7, 11-1 CSAC) shot exactly 50% in the second half.
The Griffins (13-8, 9-3 CSAC) shot a season-low 23%, hitting on just 13-of-55 from the field.Â
On Saturday, Gwynedd will look to rebound as they host Cedar Crest at 2 p.m. as part of a CSAC Doubleheader at the Griffin Complex. The men follow with a game with Immaculata at 4 p.m.
