BOX SCOREROSEMONT, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy registered a 14-8 CSAC road win at Rosemont on Saturday for their third conference victory of the season.
Junior
Kelsey Yori (Folsom, Pa./Ridley) paced the offense, scoring four of her six goals in the first half. Yori added three assists for nine points to tie a career high. Senior
Amy Powell (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth-Whitemarsh) and junior
Sarah Lombardi (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville) each netted hat tricks as the Griffins evened their record to 6-6.
Gina Ragona scored three times for the Ravens (3-6, 1-3 CSAC). Jennifer South and Kerry Hars would two goals apiece.
Yori led the team with 10 groundballs, eight draws, and three caused turnovers while Powell grabbed six groundballs and three draws.
Leading 6-3 in the first, the Griffins added to the lead as Yori netted the stanza's last two goals, the latter coming with under 30 seconds remaining for an 8-3 edge at the break.
GM outshot Rosemont, 33-18. Goalies
Megan Rose (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) and
Gina Febbo (Sewell, N.J./Paul VI) combined to make three saves in goal.
