Dante Cassano (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) also went deep as GM built a 5-1 lead after five innings.
Junior
Rick Elfreth (Washington Twp., N.J./St. Augustine) went seven innings, striking out a career-high 10 batters while yielding two runs on six hits.
Cassano would lead off the seventh with a solo opposite field shot to right to up the lead to 6-1. The Cyclones' Ryan Caparoni got that run back with an RBI single in the bottom half of the frame. Mike Crowe would add a three-run homer in the eighth and suddenly it was a one-run game.
Sophomore
Andrew Hill (Christiana, Pa./Octorara) came on in the ninth to record his third save of the year, getting out of a two-on, two-out situation with a game-ending strikeout.
In game one of Saturday's home DH, the Griffins gave up a 2-0 lead when Centenary plated five in the fifth. But Gwynedd took advantage of a key two-out error in the sixth to score eight runs on seven hits. Cassano and freshman
Frank Saviski (Aston, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) delivered two-run singles in the inning as the Cyclones had a total of four errors in that at-bat.

Game two saw the Cyclones' Jimmy Kraivec keep the Griffins bats quiet with 10 strikeouts in six innings. He allowed just one hit, which came in the sixth with two outs to break up a possible no-hit bid. As a team GM, was held to just two hits.
Crowe's RBI single and a bases loaded walk from Nick Daniele in the third put the Cyclones ahead. An eight-run fourth would be the difference to chase out starter
Matt Rakus (Sewell, N.J./St. Augustine), giving the junior his first loss on the year (5-1).
Carlo Randazzo's (Sewell, N.J./St. Augustine) hit in the sixth ended the no hitter by Kraivec. He and Elfreth had the two hits in the second game.
Rich Young (Havertown, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) scored the lone run in the seventh, coming home on a bases loaded double play.
The Griffins (15-11-1, 9-3 CSAC) play two non-conference games this week before starting a weekend set with Marywood. On Monday, GM will travel to Rowan before Tuesday's home date with New Jersey City.
