BOX SCOREGWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Marywood handed Gwynedd Mercy a 15-5 Colonial States Athletic Conference defeat Thursday night.
The Griffins (6-9, 3-4 CSAC), who have dropped their last three contest, are still alive for a possible playoff berth. They'll need to win against Cedar Crest on Tuesday in the regular season finale or get a Rosemont loss to lock up a spot in the postseason.
Junior
Kelsey Yori (Folsom, Pa./Ridley) led GM with three goals, raising her league-leading season total to 58. Senior
Amy Powell (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) and sophomore
Brianna Greer (Philadelphia, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) also tallied for GM.
Marywood's Kimberly Commisso led all attackers with five goals while teammate Sarah Caughy added four. Commisso would net two as part of a game-opening 4-0 run. They would gradually build on their lead to go up 10-3 at halftime.
Yori also collected a game-high seven groundballs. She, along with junior
Sara Nance (Lansdowne, Pa./Archbishop Prendergast) added two caused turnovers apiece.
Commisso chipped in seven draws and four caused turnovers. Goalie Lauren Smith made 11 stops for the Pacers (8-8, 6-2 CSAC) who evened their record at .500.

Megan Rose (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) compiled four stops for GM.
The Griffins take on Cedar Crest on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
