IMMACULATA, PA. – Eight unanswered goals in the first half enabled Immaculata to go on and defeat Gwynedd Mercy, 21-11, in a CSAC Women's Lacrosse contest on Saturday.

The Griffins trailed 4-3 early on, but would go scoreless over a 17-minute span as the Mighty Macs would add to their lead. Gwynedd would still trail by eight, 15-7, at halftime. In the second stanza, Immaculata opened the period with four goals in the first five and a half minutes to increase their lead to double digits.

Junior Kelsey Yori (Folsom, Pa./Ridley) led GM (6-8, 3-3 CSAC) with six goals and nine draw controls. Senior Amy Powell (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth-Whitemarsh) added two along with an assist.

Danielle Lopez netted six goals while Kelly Lapp chipped in five tallies and two helpers for the Mighty Macs (7-7, 4-3 CSAC).

Gwynedd Mercy will host Marywood on Thursday evening and can clinch a playoff berth with a win over the Pacers.
