BOX SCOREGWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- The Griffins never trailed defeating Notre Dame of Maryland, 97-21, Wednesday night in Colonial States Athletic Conference action.
The quartet of
Jordan Dominic (Sellersville, Pa. / Pennridge),
Natasha Matthews (Norristown, Pa. / Norristown),
Kristen Fuery (Dresher, Pa. / Upper Dublin) and
Kalene Coffey (Philadelphia, Pa. / Archbishop Ryan) led the Griffins in the scoring column with all four scoring 10 points for the contest.
Gwynedd (9-10, 6-4 CSAC) started the game on a 21-0 run capped off by an
Olivia Bradford (Lansdale, Pa. / Christopher Dock) layup. They would then close out the stanza with another 21-0 run when
Lauren Smith (Philadelphia, Pa. / Archbishop Ryan) connected on a triple to give GM a 57-11 lead heading into the break.
All 15 Griffins reached the scoring column as well, as Gwynedd shot a season-best 53.4% (39-of-73) from the field and connected on 13 three pointers. Gwynedd held a 46-21 advantage on the boards with
Nicole Dombrowski (Philadelphia, Pa. / Nazareth Academy) and
Charlotte Kucowski (Philadelphia, Pa. / St. Hubert's) each grabbing a team-high seven rebounds apiece.
Erika Deppenschmidt led Notre Dame (1-18, 1-10 CSAC) with a game-high 17 points.
The Griffins will look to make it three in a row hosting Centenary Saturday at the Griffin Complex as part of a CSAC Doubleheader with the men. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
