Women's Hoops Dials Up Win At Keystone

(Folsom, Pa./Ridley) led the offensive attack with 17 points. Senior Jordan Dominic (Sellersville, Pa./Pennridge) added 15 and junior Kristen Fuery (Dresher, Pa./Upper Dublin) scored 14 as the duo combined for nine of the team's 13 three-pointers on the day.

All cylinders were clicking early on as the Griffins (8-10, 5-4 CSAC) raced out to a 21-6 lead to start the contest. Dominic would hit one of her five treys late in the stanza for a 48-31 advantage before the Giants rallied for the final four points of the period for a 48-35 score at the half.

It was more of the same in the second, as GM used a 17-9 run to open up their largest lead of the game. Keystone (11-7, 5-4 CSAC) would counter with a 22-8 spurt over a seven-minute span to get within 75-68 with just under six minutes to play.

The Griffins were able to put the game away, scoring the next six points to restore a double-digit lead with 3:18 to go.

Junior Natasha Matthews (Norristown, Pa./Norristown) scored 13 while freshman Nicole Dombrowski (Philadelphia, Pa./Nazareth Academy) added 11. Dominic and Yori each dished out five assists while senior Nicole Dougherty (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Lower Moreland) totaled six points, eight boards, three assists, and three steals. As a team, the Griffins scored 27 points off of 18 forced turnovers.

Jazmyn Robinson scored a game-high 27 points of 10-of-18 shooting. Aaliya Hayes contributed 16 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.

Gwynedd Mercy is back in action on Wednesday, January 29th when they welcome Notre Dame (Md.) at 6 p.m. as part of a CSAC Doubleheader with the men.
