SCRANTON, PA. --  Gwynedd-Mercy pounded out a 19-1 win over Marywood on Sunday to sweep the regular season series from the Pacers.

The game was played in Scranton but the Griffins were designated the home team in turn when both squads swapped venues in the team's makeup DH back on March 24th.

Gwynedd (15-9, 8-1 CSAC) plated two in the second, then a five-spot in the third before an 11-run fourth helped open up a sizable lead.

Sophomore Jamey Minnemeyer (Lansdale, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) kept the Pacers in check, going seven innings on six strikeouts and just one run while scattering seven hits.

Junior Dante Cassano (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) was 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI doubles. Sophomore Rick Elfreth (Washington Twp., N.J./St. Augustine) added three hits while junior John Burns (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) drove in three runs.

The Griffins return to action on Wednesday when they host Widener at 4 p.m. Monday's originally scheduled game against The College of New Jersey has been postponed with a make-up date TBA.
