GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Neumann jumped ahead early to go on and defeat Gwynedd-Mercy, 15-7, Saturday afternoon in a Colonial States Athletic Conference matchup.

The Knights built a 6-0 lead in the first 10 minutes of play that the Griffins (3-7, 2-2 CSAC) could not catch up upon.

Danae Perrymond (Pottstown, Pa./Pottstown) had two goals for GM while Dani Horn (Colmar, Pa./North Penn) added a score and an assist. Lucy Hud (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Basil), Jill MacDonald (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan), Sarah Nance (Lansdowne, Pa./Archbishop Prendergast), and Brianna Greer (Philadelphia, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) also registered goals for the Griffins.

Meghan Garsey led all scorers with five goals and two helpers. Rebecca Dolenti, Lexy Wilkinson, and Jordan Hopkins each added a pair of goals for the Knights (11-1, 5-0 CSAC).

Goalie Marina Hubbard (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower) made 10 saves in net. Christina Hughes recorded 14 for Neumann.

Gwynedd-Mercy will look to rebound on Tuesday when they travel to Notre Dame (Md.) in a 4 p.m. start.
