WILKES-BARRE, PA. -- Gwynedd-Mercy was held scoreless in the second half in falling at King's, 17-6, Thursday night.
The Griffins (3-11) got three goals from freshman
Danae Perrymond (Pottstown, Pa./Pottstown), two from sophomore
Dani Horn (Colmar, Pa./North Penn), and one from
Casey Gaughan (Philadelphia, Pa./Villa Joseph Marie). Senior
Jenna Gaydosh (Philadelphia, Pa./Nazareth Academy) contributed a career-high three assists.
Emily Foley netted five goals for the Monarchs (6-7) while Mariah Mascarelli chipped in three scores and four assists.
Perrymond's goal at the 10:56 mark of the first put GM down just one, 6-5. King's would score four of the next five to take a 10-6 lead at halftime.
Gwynedd-Mercy travels to Marywood on Saturday in a CSAC matchup starting at 1 p.m.
