GLENSIDE, PA. -- Arcadia scored nine-straight goals that bridged both halves to pull away from Gwynedd-Mercy, 17-7.
The loss sends the Griffins (2-5) to their fourth defeat in a row.
Sophomore
Dani Horn (Colmar, Pa./North Penn) led GM with three goals. Junior
Amy Powell (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth-Whitemarsh) and freshman
Danae Perrymond (Pottstown, Pa./Pottstown) each had two apiece.
Meghan Fallon netted six for the Knights (5-3) while teammate Haylee Molloy added five.
Leading 5-4, Molloy scored four of her goals during that nine-goal stretch including the last two of the first half, where Arcadia would lead 9-4 at the break.
Gwynedd-Mercy was outshot, 28-14, but each team totaled 21 ground balls each. Horn led the team with a game-high seven and also collected three draw controls.
The Griffins will get back at it on Saturday when they travel to face Cedar Crest in CSAC action in a new start time of 11 a.m.
