MADISON, N.J. -- The Gywnedd Mercy Volleyball Team went to the FDU-Florham quad match and came away with three defeats, dropping a 3-0 score to the host Devils and similar scores in matches with Rutgers-Camden and Lancaster Bible.

Against FDU-Florham (25-9, 25-9, 25-7), the Griffins had just eight kills running into a buzzsaw as the Devils totaled 25 kills with two hitting errors on 72 attempts. Michelle Carrieri (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) and Kasey Loring (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) had three kills apiece while Stephanie Farrar (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) added 14 digs.

In the day's final match with Lancaster Bible (25-17, 25-15, 25-11), Carrieri totaled three kills, six aces, two digs, and a solo block. Farrar and Lauren Tressel (Pembroke, Ma./Pembroke) each had four kills. Farrar served up four aces while Tressel chipped in 11 digs.

The Griffins (3-20) host Cedar Crest Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in CSAC action.
