DOVER, DE. – Gwynedd-Mercy fell at Wesley, 6-0, in non-conference action Tuesday afternoon.

The Griffins (23-17) were held to five hits and left five men on base.

Wesley's Zach Stuart pitched seven shutout innings while allowing just three hits and struck out three. Jon Carlson went 3-for-3 with three RBI's and two runs scored for the Wolverines (29-14).

Carlson had an RBI single in the first and an sac fly in the second to help Wesley jump out to a 4-0 lead.

Gwynedd tried to put something together in the third getting an infield hit from sophomore Josh Van Horn (Brookhaven, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) and a walk from junior Shane Lynch (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee), but Stuart got out of the jam with a strikeout and sharp liner to right.

Sophomore Trevor Sotell (Cinnaminson, N.J./Paul VI) took the loss fot GM.

The Griffins kick off their playoff run in the double elimination CSAC Tournament out at Bear Stadium in Boyertown on Friday when they take on Neumann at 5:30 p.m. Play continues on Saturday.
