GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. – Washington & Jefferson overwhelmed Gwynedd-Mercy, 16-4, in a non-league women's lacrosse game Thursday afternoon.

The Griffins (1-5) were outshot, 33-17, for the contest.

W&J's Brittany Fradkin recorded a game-high six goals and two assists. Teammate Brittney Oake added five tallies as the Presidents (5-1) led 8-2 at the half.

Senior Shannon Carabba (Erdenheim, Pa./Springfield), junior Jenna Gaydosh (Philadelphia, Pa./Nazareth Academy), sophomore Amy Powell (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth-Whitemarsh), and freshman Kelsey Yori (Folsom, Pa./Ridley) all scored for Gwynedd.

The Griffins travel to Immaculata on Saturday in a CSAC contest starting at 1 p.m.
