EWING, N.J. – Gwynedd-Mercy lost their fourth game in a row, in falling at the College of New Jersey, 7-2, on Wednesday.

The Griffins (8-7) were limited to five hits, three of which came from sophomore catcher John Burns (Levittown, Pa./Neshaminy) including a double.

The Lions scored two in the first and added three in the third. Starter Sean Muscovitch (Spring City, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) went three innings allowing five runs (three earned) on six hits with four walks and two strikeouts. His counterpart, TCNJ's Eric Lewis went eight shutout innings with four walks and four K's.

Gwynedd scored their two runs in the ninth as freshman Ryan Haley (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) scored on an error and later an RBI single off the bat of junior Josh Martin (Pottstown, Pa./St. Pius X) for his team-leading 17th run batted in.

Mike Murphy was 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI for TCNJ (8-7).

GM will welcome defending CSAC Champion and nationally-ranked Keystone on Friday to kick off conference series play. The Griffins and Giants will go at it in a nine-inning affair starting at 3 p.m.  On Saturday, they'll head to Keystone for two in a noon start.
