ASTON, PA. – Neumann edged Gwynedd-Mercy, 16-14, in a CSAC Women's Lacrosse matchup Monday afternoon in a close contest where neither team led by more than two scores.

Senior Shannon Carabba (Erdenheim, Pa./Springfield) and freshman Kelsey Yori (Folsom, Pa./Ridley) each had four goals as the Griffins (1-4, 1-2 CSAC) took a lead with 11:56 to play but it would be the last goal as the Knights put three goals on the board to go ahead for good.

Alexandra Bohen and Erica Crabtree netted three goals for Neumann (5-1, 1-0 CSAC).

The Griffins were outshot, 32-28, and only had eight in the second half.

Brigid Dowling (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower), Jenna Gaydosh (Philadelphia, Pa./Nazareth Academy), and Rachel Irons (Delran, N.J./Delran) also scored goals for the Griffins.

Gwynedd-Mercy will look to get back on track on Thursday when they host Washington & Jeffferson at 4 p.m.
