WASHINGTON – Catholic delivered a 3-0 defeat to Gwynedd-Mercy as the teams battled Friday evening in non-conference action. Game scores were 25-12, 25-12, and 25-9.

Gwynedd-Mercy (2-15) was led by junior Michelle Carrieri (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) with six kills. As a team, GM amassed 13 total team kills.

Kelly Crimmins totaled seven kills and five solo blocks for the Cardinals (14-5).

The Griffins will stay in the Baltimore-D.C. area overnight and resume action tomorrow when they play a CSAC Tri-match at Notre Dame (Md.), featuring the host Gators and Baptist Bible. GM will take on Notre Dame at 11 a.m. followed by a match vs. the Defenders at 1 p.m. The Gators and BBC will do battle at 3 p.m.
