LAKELAND, FL. -- A three-game skid came to an end as Gwynedd-Mercy edged NAIA Southeastern University in a 64-63 win Tuesday.

Freshman Jess Rotella (Clifton Heights, Pa./Archbishop Prendergast) poured in 12 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Griffins (6-6), who concluded their trip to Florida with a victory over the host Fire (3-8).

Senior Bryn Cotteta (Norristown, Pa./Norristown) added 10 points as GMC held an eight-point halftime edge and a lead as large as 13 in the second half before holding off Southeastern.

Nadia Givens netted 15 points and seven boards for the Fire while teammate Tori Robison added 12.

The Griffins will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Rosemont in a Colonial States Athletic Conference Game with a 1 p.m. start.
