GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Senior goalie Trisha Timony (Allentown, N.J./Allentown) made 17 saves as the Griffins held off Cabrini, 11-10, in a Colonial States Athletic Conference game on a windy Tuesday afternoon.

Junior Shannon Carabba (Erdenheim, Pa./Springfield) and Jenna D'Arcy (Horsham, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) each netted three goals as the Griffins (7-3, 4-0 CSAC) would lead by 7-1 midway in the first half.

The Cavaliers' Jamie O'Hanlon, who led all scorers with five tallies, helped start a Cabrini comeback, scoring three times to cut it to an 8-5 GM lead. Carabba would register an unassisted tally right before the half to give Gwynedd a 9-5 edge at the break.

Scoring came at a premium for the Griffins in the second, as Cabrini (2-6, 2-1 CSAC) climbed to within two with 17:04 left as O'Hanlon netted her fifth on the day.

D'Arcy would score the last GM goal with 9:12 remaining. The Cavs' used a late goal from Gabrielle Gorbey for a one-goal game. Gwynedd, trying to run out the clock in the offensive end, had a loose ball picked up by Cabrini but time would run out before a shot could get off.

Carabba and senior Kristi Mackin (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) each had two assists while sophomore Morgan Hosler (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) added two scores.

Cabrini would outshoot GM, 37-21, including 19-7 in the second half.

The Griffins will return to action on Saturday when they host Immaculata in CSAC action starting at 3 p.m.
