GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- The Gwynedd-Mercy College Women's Lacrosse Team celebrated their four seniors on Tuesday, but it was Goucher who crashed the party in a 17-12 decision, sending the Grififns to their third-straight defeat.

Gwynedd trailed by just two goals with just over 13 minutes in regulation but would go scoreless over the next 11 minutes as the Gophers tacked on five goals.

Senior Colleen Dellostretto (Hatboro, Pa./Upper Moreland) led GM (8-6) with four goals. Junior Shannon Carabba (Erdenheim, Pa./Springfield) added three but the Griffins did not have the lead once.

Mary Lambert had a game-high six goals for Goucher (6-7), out of the Landmark Conference, while Erin Reifsnyder and Becca Smith chipped in three apiece.

Goalie Trisha Timony (Allentown, N.J./Allentown) made 14 saves as the senior saw 41 shots from Goucher compared to 31 from GM.

Prior to the game, Dellostretto, Timony, Kristi Mackin (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert), and Kristie Pollock (Kennett Square, Pa./Unionville) were all honored along with their parents in a special ceremony.

Tomorrow, the Griffins travel to Centenary in a big CSAC contest at 4 p.m. The winner can clinch at least a #2 playoff seed and a first-round bye.
