GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Gwynedd-Mercy took advantage of four errors in the third to score nine runs to go on an defeat Immaculata, 11-4, sweeping the season series.

Senior Austin Ley (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) was 2-for-5 with a two-run triple while freshman Greg Brooks (Voorhees, N.J./St. Joseph's Prep PA) went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and senior Colin Tosti (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) added a two-run double as the Griffins (5-7, 3-0 CSAC) won their fourth game in a row.

Starter R.J. Finizio (Maple Shade, N.J./Maple Shade) improved to 3-0 on the year as he went five innings giving up three earned runs on six hits.

The Mighty Macs (3-9, 0-3 CSAC) would score three in the third to take a 3-1 lead before they would commit four of their five errors in the bottom of the frame to open the GM scoring gates. Ley and Tosti's scoring hits came within the inning, all with two outs.

Freshman Sean Weber (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) and senior Andrew Ball (Orwigsburg, Pa./Blue Moutain) allowed just two hits over the last four innings to lock down the IU offense.

Gwynedd is right back at it tomorrow with a non-league home game against Rowan starting at 4 p.m.
