GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Nine different players registered a goal in Gwynedd-Mercy's 17-2 non-league win over visiting Penn State-Abington Thursday afternoon.
Sophomore
Morgan Hosler (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) led the offense with four goals while junior
Shannon Harmer (Philadelphia, Pa./Nazareth Academy) added three scores and two assists as the Griffins led 14-1 after the first half.
Shannon Carabba (Erdenheim, Pa./Springfield),
Jenna D'Arcy (Horsham, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) and
Jenna Gaydosh (Philadelphia, Pa./Nazareth Academy) each added two goals apiece. Carabba and Gaydosh also chipped in two assists.
Katelyn Haas netted both scores for the Lions (0-2).
GM outshot PSU-Abington, 30-8 and won the groundball battle, 20-13.

Colleen Dellostretto (Hatboro, Pa./Upper Moreland) and
Kristie Pollock (Kennett Square, Pa./Unionville), sophomore
Brigid Dowling (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower) and freshman
Erin Janzekovich (Monroe Township, N.J./Monroe Twp.) also scored for Gwynedd.
The Griffins (3-3) will entertain Rosemont in their Colonial States Athletic Conference opener this Saturday beginning at 3 p.m.
