READING, PA. -- Gwynedd-Mercy was dealt their third-straight loss in a 15-5 non-league defeat at Alvernia Tuesday night.

The Griffins, who started the season 2-0 and now have dropped three in row, did not muster a goal in the first half to trail 9-0 at halftime.

Sophomore Morgan Hosler (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) netted two of the five GM goals on the evening. Senior Kristie Pollock (Kennett Square, Pa./Unionville) added a goal and an assist.

Felicia Sippel scored a game-high five goals for the Crusaders, who remain unbeaten on the season at 4-0.

Alvernia outshot, the Griffins, 47-15 and held a 23-7 groundball edge.

Gwynedd-Mercy will look to rebound on Thursday, when they host Penn State-Abington here in a 4 p.m. start.
