GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Gwynedd-Mercy fell, 87-63, to #8-ranked Kean Wednesday night in non-league action.

Senior forward Kristy McGrath (West Chester, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) led the Griffins (13-8) with a game-high 19 points. Junior guard Bryn Cotteta (Norristown, Pa./Norristown) added seven points, five assists, and three steals.

Emily Cristaldi had16 for the Cougars (20-3) who also receiveed 13 points each from Tiffany Patrick and Simone Smith.

Gwynedd had a first half they would rather forget, shooting just 12% (4-for-31) from the floor and being outrebounded, 32-13. Kean would lead 35-16 at halftime.

The second stanza saw GM put things together, but the Cougars were just too tough, as Kean had a 64% (20-of-31) shooting effort lef by Cristaldi's 17 second-half points.

For the game, Kean held a 52-34 rebound edge, as the Cougars had six players with five or more boards each.

The Griffins look to bounce back tomorrow night when they host the College of Notre Dame in CSAC action starting at 7 p.m.
