SCRANTON, PA. – Kristy McGrath (West Chester, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) netted a career-high 28 points and Brittany Neill (Woodlyn, Pa./Archmere Academy Del.) sank eight three-pointers to help lead Gwynedd-Mercy to an 87-77 road CSAC victory at Marywood.

McGrath added a game-high 10 rebounds for her fifth double-double on the season. Neill finished with 24 points as the Griffins improve to 12-6 and 8-2 in league play.

Mariah Schaffer recorded 22 points for the Pacers (15-5, 9-2 CSAC), who actually led by as much as 11 early in the contest.

Gwynedd fought back to get within one at halftime, 44-43.

McGrath and Neill scored the second half's first eight points, to which the Griffins did not relinquish the lead the rest of the way. Neill's last trey with 11:33 gave GM its biggest lead of the contest (69-52).

Stacey Judge (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) chipped in nine points and eight rebounds. GM shot 30-of-35 from the free-throw line and outrebounded Marywood, 51-45.

The Griffins return to action on Saturday as they take on Neumann, looking to avenge a 56-52 loss from January 17th.
