HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Senior Kristy McGrath (West Chester, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) had a career-night, going for a personal-best 31 points to help Gwynedd-Mercy to a 79-63 Colonial States Athletic Conference victory at Centenary Monday night.

Freshman Taylour Alston (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) chipped in 11 points and a game-high 12 rebounds off the bench for the Griffins (15-9, 11-4 CSAC), who still have a chance to finish as a #2 seed in next week's conference playoffs. McGrath was 11-for-22 from the field, including four three-pointers, with six rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

Gwynedd took a three-point halftime lead and turned it to as much as 18 points in the second stanza. GM would open the second half on a 20-8 spurt and did not look back.

Jen Vasta netted 14 points, nine assists, and seven boards for the Cyclones (13-10, 10-5 CSAC), who shot 41% for the game.

GM outrebounded Centenary, 57-37. Junior Brittany Neill (Woodlyn, Pa./Archmere Academy Del.) dished out six assists, to go along with seven caroms, and six points.

Gwynedd-Mercy will close out the regular season on Thursday against Rosemont on Senior Night. Tipoff is slated for 6 p.m.
