HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Gwynedd-Mercy secured the #2 seed and a first-round playoff bye with an 82-57 CSAC win at Centenary.

Dan DelConte (Blue Bell, Pa./Wissahickon) led all scorers with 23 points while the junior added six assists and five rebounds.

The Griffins (19-5, 14-3 CSAC) shot a blistering 72% (18-of-25) in the second half, increasing their seven-point halftime lead to as large as 28 points.

Will Atkinson netted 21 points for the Cyclones (9-15, 7-10 CSAC), who were pushed to the brink of playoff elimination.

DelConte sank two-straight treys as part of a 28-9 scoring run to start the second stanza in which pushed their lead to 20+ points the rest of the way.

Freshman Brandyn Wyms (Philadelphia, Pa./Cardinal Dougherty) chipped in 15 points off the bench as GM outrebounded Centenary, 43-29, for the contest.

Gwynedd caps the regular season on Thursday with a home date with Rosemont on Senior Night beginning at 8 p.m. The Griffins will host a CSAC Tournament semifinal game at the Griffin Complex on Tuesday, February 22nd.
