LANGHORNE, PA. -- Gwynedd-Mercy had five players in double digits as the Griffins handled Philadelphia Biblical, 95-44, Saturday afternoon in a Colonial States Athletic Conference contest matchup.
Senior guard
Bryn Cotteta (Norristown, Pa./Norristown) scored a game-high 15 points.
Brittany Neill (Woodlyn,
Pa./Archmere Academy Del) and
Shea Wassel (North Penn, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) each had 12 while
Jess Rotella (Clifton Heights, Pa./Archbishop Prendergast) added 11 and
Jordan Dominic (Sellersville, Pa./Pennridge) chipped in 10.
Gwynedd-Mercy (3-3, 2-1 CSAC) built a 43-25 halftime advantage over the Crimson Eagles, using a 30-11 run to close the period.
GM went on to outscore the Crimson Eagles, 52-19, in the second half, holding the Crimson Eagles to just 7-of-24 shooting. The Griffins forced 29 PBU turnovers in the game.
Gwynedd shot 49.4% from the field (38-of-77) knocking down two three pointers and making 17-of-30 free throws from the charity stripe.
Neill also had four assists and four steals. Rotella pulled down a team-high five rebounds.
The Crimson Eagles (4-3, 1-1 CSAC) were led Danielle Bradley-Wilson's double-double, recording 14 points and 12 rebounds. Hannah McCardle chipped in 11 points, six rebounds, and four blocks.
Gwynedd will host King's College in non-league action on Tuesday in a 7 p.m. tip-off.
